The Challenge

#BmoreGivesMores was a movement to make Baltimore the Most Generous City in America on #GivingTuesday.

GiveCorps hired What Works Studio to help develop and implement an extraordinary campaign to raise $5 Million for local nonprofits in 24 hours. We ultimately raised $5.7 Million.

What Works Studio provided creative direction, strategy, marketing, and design. MGH produced the logo and managed public relations.

Our Solution

With less than two months to launch the initiative, What Works Studio developed and implemented an integrated campaign that included messaging, content marketing, user generated content, social media, email marketing, event support, custom website, graphics, merchandise and other marketing assets.

The Results

The #BmoreGivesMore campaign raised $5.7 Million for local nonprofits in 24 hours.

Together with the client, we birthed a movement that was replicated in over 70 cities the following year.

#BmoreGivesMore, including assets developed by What Works Studio, is featured in a permanent exhibition, “Giving in America” in the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History.

Custom Website

What Works Studio designed and developed a custom website for bmoregivesmore.com that evolved to accommodate each of the campaign’s three distinct phases. Visit the website.

Digital Marketing Strategy

The marketing strategy included email, social media, participant toolkits, PowerPoint presentations, infographics, and shareable graphics, for which we provided copy, designs and art direction. Additionally, user generated content played a key role in the success of the campaign.

Graphic Design and Merchandise

We provided creative direction and designed merchandise and assets for live events such as rubber bracelets, t-shirts, postcards, banners, step-and-repeat backdrop, and stickers. We assisted with an Ambassador Program, Selfless Selfies meme, and live events.
